2020-2021 School Year: We are staying safe

As Weld RE-4 makes decisions about children returning to school, we are considering the full spectrum of benefits and risks of modified traditional, hybrid, and off-campus learning options.* 

Learning Models

 Green  Yellow Red
A modified traditional schedule includes having all students back at school with some modifications. Green  A hybrid model (a rotating schedule of in-person and off-campus learning) applies when physical distancing protocols limit the number of students allowed in school. Yellow  Off-campus learning occurs in the event of an isolated or widespread outbreak or when a stay-at-home order is issued. Red

American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief

On Thursday, March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was signed into law. It is a package of assistance measures, including for the ARP Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund. Funds are provided to State educational agencies and school districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Nation’s students. Health & Safety Precautions

Our primary concern is for the safety of children at school in the wake of COVID-19. All Weld RE-4 schools will follow State of Colorado and Centers for Disease Control guidelines to protect the health and safety of our school communities.
